Making Sense of Fitness After 50

Strength training for women over 50 who do not know where to begin.

You know strength matters. What you may not have been shown is how to start safely, at home and without feeling as though you should already know what you are doing.

The missing starting point

The advice is everywhere. The starting point is not.

Women over 50 are constantly being told to strength train. What is rarely explained is which movements to begin with, how to know you are doing them safely and how to make training fit into real life.

You may not have exercised since school. You may already walk, swim or attend classes but have never been shown the foundations of strength training. Either way, you should not be expected to work it all out alone.

01

You know strength training matters.

02

You are unsure what to do first.

03

You need someone to show you how to begin.

Knowing strength matters is not the same as knowing how to begin.

The missing piece is clear guidance.

Your starting point

Start with Level 1.

Level 1 is a guided introduction to strength training using simple bodyweight movements at home. You do not need a gym, equipment or any previous experience.

You will be shown what to do, how the movements should feel and how to build a routine that is realistic enough to continue.

Meet Lesley

I have spent decades helping people feel capable in unfamiliar places.

For more than 20 years, I worked as a scuba diving instructor, taking people into an environment that was completely new to them and helping them discover they were capable of far more than they thought.

For the past 13 years, I have been a personal trainer. Today, I help women over 50 begin strength training with clear explanations, practical support and no assumption that they should already know what to do.

I will not make you feel foolish for not knowing where to start, and I will not give you a punishing plan that has no place in your real life.

“There was none of this glib ‘mindfulness’ word salad that you get with other coaches. This was solid, practical, quite tough questions which, as designed to do, drew out the answers from me. I came away feeling my focus and priorities were back in place.”

“Lesley listened to me, she valued what I said and made me feel comfortable so that I could share what was going on for me. Life, now, feels lighter, kinder and easier.”

You do not need to be fitter before you begin.
